Hollywood/Miracle Mile Power Hour: Bringing Back Business in the Midst of High Crime Rates

Hollywood/Miracle Mile Power Hour: Bringing Back Business in the Midst of High Crime Rates

Wednesday, June 30, 2021 (3:30 PM - 4:30 PM) (PDT)

Description

With Los Angeles set to reopen on June 15, many local landlords are worried about the state of crime (violent and petty) in the Hollywood/Miracle Mile regions and that it might impede economic recovery.

Join the Hollywood/Miracle Mile Regional Council for a conversation with local public safety and business leaders on how the current state of crime in Hollywood and the Miracle Mile are impacting business activity.

Speakers will include local LAPD leadership, the Miracle Mile Chamber of Commerce, and will be facilitated by building managers.

Topics will include:

  • Understanding the current state of crime in Hollywood and Miracle Mile with updates from LAPD Captains from both areas.
  • Learning more about what large and small businesses are most concerned about when it comes to the state of crime from the Executive Director of the Miracle Mile Chamber of Commerce.
  • Better understand how to address our tenant concerns.

Speakers:

Meg McComb, Executive Director, Greater Miracle Mile Chamber of Commerce
Captain Brian Bixler, Commanding Officer, Hollywood Area
Captain Shannon Paulson, Commanding Officer, Wilshire Area
